**Official servers**

It is required to use a VPN for at least 14 days.

**Community servers**

If you were previously banned from a community server, a spoof won't help unban you on new account(s). Server owners use Steam data and your IP address to enforce bans. If you can't change your public IP, a residential VPN is necessary.

In general, we **highly advise you to change your IP** if it's dynamic, or, use a VPN. Games nowadays don't necessarily enforce IP bans (unless they're from community servers), but they can most definitely flag you as a potential cheater based on previous bans associated with your IP.
