πΏReinstalling Windows
Now that we have our USB ready, let's decide how we're going to reinstall Windows.
Understanding RAID
It's becoming increasingly more common for games to ban disk serials. There is no undetected way to permanently change your disk serials, so, RAID is your best option other than replacing the drives entirely. When using RAID on Intel-based systems, it's important to note that you cannot RAID individual drives separately; you need at least two drives of the same type or capacity. This constraint arises because RAID configurations utilise the smallest drive's capacity as the total available space. For example, combining a 1TB drive and a 512GB drive will yield only 512GB of usable space. However, two 1TB drives in RAID can provide 2TB, leveraging mirroring effectively.
For changing disk serials, replacing disks is an alternative method. RAID offers a reliable approach to alter serial numbers otherwise. On Intel systems, it's advisable to acquire two identical drives to set up RAID and manage disk serial numbers seamlessly.
